Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is the term used to describe the examination of electrical appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe to use. Most electrical safety defects can be found by visual examination yet other types of defect can only be found by testing. It includes Generator, Welding machine, Hand power tools, Grinding & Cutting machines.
Generator
An Electric generator is a device which is used to produce electric energy, which can be stored in batteries or can be directly supplied to the homes, shops, offices, etc.
Welding Machine
A welding machine is a device used to join materials together. Welding machines produce heat that melts metal parts so that these parts can be joined.
Grinding & Cutting Machines
A grinding machine is a machine for material removal with geometrically non-defined, bonded cutting edges, where the relative movement between tool and workpiece is rotational or lin- ear.
Hand Power Tools
A hand tool is any tool that is powered by hand rather than a motor.
